SUMMARY AS PASSED: (all summaries)
Health maintenance organizations; powers. Permits a health maintenance organization to offer to its subscribers deductibles, copayments, and cost-sharing provisions provided they comply with applicable state law. "Copayment" is defined as an amount an enrollee is required to pay in order to receive a specific health care service. “Deductible” is defined as an amount an enrollee is required to pay out-of-pocket before the health care plan begins to pay the costs associated with health care services. This bill is identical to Senate Bill 1195.
