SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Governor’s emergency powers; closed captioning of emergency news. Gives the Governor the power to require any television broadcast station located in Virginia that is capable of providing closed captioning of live news broadcasts to provide such captioning of any news that may affect the health, safety or welfare of the deaf and hard-of-hearing citizens of the Commonwealth.
