SUMMARY AS PASSED:

Motor vehicle insurance; exclusion of named persons. Allows a named insured to exclude any person under personal umbrella and excess insurance policies. The exclusion must be made in writing by the first named insured and acknowledged in writing by the excluded driver. This bill is identical to Senate Bill 1154.

SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:

Motor vehicle insurance; exclusion of named persons. Allows a named insured to exclude any person from a personal umbrella or excess insurance policy if the exclusion is requested in writing and agreed to by the excluded driver. For purposes of uninsured motorist coverage, an excluded driver is not covered if the excluded driver was operating the vehicle.
