Elimination and consolidation of certain duplicative and inactive collegial bodies and their programs. Abolishes the Advisory Board on Medicare and Medicaid and the Economic and Employment Improvement Program for Disadvantaged Persons and its Grant Awards Committee and its program.
This bill is similar in its objective to some of the legislation recommended by the Joint Subcommittee Studying the Operations, Practices, Duties, and Funding of the Commonwealth's Agencies, Boards, Commissions, and Councils and Other Governmental Entities pursuant to HJR 159 (2002). The elimination of the Advisory Board on Medicare and Medicaid and the Economic and Employment Improvement Program for Disadvantaged Persons Grant Awards Committee was not a recommendation of the HJR 159 study this year.
