SUMMARY AS PASSED:
Conveyance of real estate for delinquent taxes or certain liens. Provides that real estate for which there are delinquent taxes may be conveyed to the locality if the real estate has a value of $20,000 or less and such taxes alone exceed 25 percent of the value of the real estate. This bill is identical to SB 735.
SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:
Conveyance of real estate for delinquent taxes or certain liens. Provides that real estate for which there are delinquent taxes may be conveyed to the locality if the real estate has a value of $20,000 or less and such taxes alone exceed 25 percent of the value of the real estate.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Sale of property for delinquent taxes or liens. Provides that in certain proceedings by a locality for the sale of a parcel of real estate due to unpaid taxes or liens, the taxes and liens, together, including penalty and accumulated interest, shall exceed 25 percent, rather than the current requirement of 50 percent, of the assessed value of the parcel.
