SUMMARY AS PASSED:
Probation for underage alcohol possession. Provides that a person convicted of underage possession of alcohol or using a false identification to purchase alcohol may be placed on probation pursuant to deferred disposition and referred to a community-based probation program if such program has been established as an alternative to a referral to a Virginia Alcohol Safety Action program or Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Services program if a community-based program is available.
