SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:
Campaign finance disclosure reports; filing schedule for certain persons and political committees. Revises current filing schedule for political committees. In lieu of the present schedule of six reports per year, the bill requires semi-annual reports and requires pre-election and large contribution reports, if the committee is active with respect to the specific election.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Campaign finance disclosure reports; filing schedule for certain persons and political committees. Corrects an error in the 2002 legislation that set out a uniform filing schedule for political action committees and various persons other than candidates. A reference to filings before the June primary is corrected to refer to the second Tuesday in June (the primary date) rather than the first Tuesday. The bill contains an emergency clause.
