SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Local coal and gas severance tax; Dickenson County. Permits Dickenson County to use for any purpose up to $1 million per year from the special 1 percent severance tax on coal and gas. Under current law all such revenues are to be paid into a special fund and used solely for road improvement, water quality improvement, and economic development.
