SUMMARY AS PASSED:
Food and beverage tax and meals tax; embezzlement. Provides that the wrongful and fraudulent use of collected food and beverage tax or meals tax constitutes embezzlement under the criminal embezzlement statute.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Food and beverage tax and meals tax. Provides that failure to remit collections of the food and beverage tax or the meals tax as provided by law shall constitute embezzlement.
