2003 SESSION
HB 1580 Abortions performed after the second trimester.
Introduced by: Mark L. Cole | all patrons ... notes | add to my profiles
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Abortions performed after the second trimester. In Virginia, third trimester abortions may only be performed in a licensed hospital after the three physicians have determined that the continuation of the pregnancy is likely to result in the death of the woman or substantially and irremediably impair the mental or physical health of the woman. Removes the "mental health" of the woman from consideration as a condition that would allow for an abortion after the second trimester.
