SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Driver's licenses. Increases from a Class 2 misdemeanor (jail for up to 6 months and/or a fine up to $1,000) to a Class 6 felony (1 to 5 years in prison or up to 12 months in jail and/or a fine up to $2,500) the penalty for giving a false or fictitious name or giving a false or fictitious address, or knowingly making a false statement or concealing a material fact or otherwise committing fraud in a driver's license application. The present Class 4 felony penalty for using a driver's license or concealing a fact or committing fraud with the intent to purchase a firearm remains unchanged.
