SUMMARY AS PASSED:
Unemployment compensation; social security benefit. Provides that weekly unemployment compensation benefits will be reduced by an amount equal to 50 percent of the Social Security Act or Railroad Retirement Act retirement benefits received by the individual and attributable to such week. This bill is identical to Senate Bill 1014.
SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:
Unemployment compensation; social security benefit. Excludes 50 percent of any retirement or pension benefit payments paid pursuant to the provisions of the Social Security Act or Railroad Retirement Act and funded in whole or in part by such individual, from the current requirement that unemployment compensation benefits be reduced by the amount received from any governmental or other pension, retirement or retired pay, annuity, or other periodic payment under a plan maintained or contributed to by an employer based on the recipient's prior work.
