HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 543
Commemorating the dedication of Forest Grove Elementary School.

WHEREAS, Forest Grove Elementary School, the first new elementary school in Sterling in 27 years, opened its doors on August 26, 2002; and

WHEREAS, despite being the newest school in the Loudoun County public school system, Forest Grove Elementary has already blended into its Sterling neighborhood; and

WHEREAS, as demonstrated by the volunteer activity and by the donations from local businesses that have surrounded the school's opening, the community welcomed the new facility; and

WHEREAS, Forest Grove Elementary School was formally dedicated on October 20, 2002; and

WHEREAS, with more than 500 young people enrolled, Forest Grove Elementary School has already become a vital and functioning part of the Sterling community; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commemorate the dedication of Forest Grove Elementary School in Sterling, Virginia; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Nancy P. Torregrossa, principal of Forest Grove Elementary School, as an expression of the congratulations and best wishes of the General Assembly.
