HOUSE BILL NO. 1512 FLOOR AMENDMENT IN THE NATURE OF A SUBSTITUTE (Proposed by Senator Stolle on February 19, 2003) (Patron Prior to Substitute--Delegate Cox) A BILL to repeal Article 11 (§§ 2.2-2630 and 2.2-2631) of Chapter 26 of Title 2.2 of the Code of Virginia, relating to the abolishment of the Council on the Status of Women.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That Article 11 (§§ 2.2-2630 and 2.2-2631) of Chapter 26 of Title 2.2 of the Code of Virginia is repealed.

2. That the provisions of this act shall not become effective if, prior to the convening of the 2003 Reconvened Session of the General Assembly, the Governor has appointed the 19 members of the Council and provided funds for the Council to meet and perform its duties pursuant to § 2.2-2631 of the Code of Virginia.
