CHAPTER 799 An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding in Chapter 26 of Title 38.2 a section numbered 38.2-2616, relating to home protection insurance contracts; binding arbitration of disputes. [H 2544] Approved March 20, 2003

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding in Chapter 26 of Title 38.2 a section numbered 38.2-2616 as follows:

§ 38.2-2616. Binding arbitration provisions in contract.

Notwithstanding the provisions of § 38.2-312, no home protection company based in this Commonwealth shall be prohibited from including in its contract a provision that requires the contract holder to submit to binding arbitration any dispute between the contract holder and the home protection company.
