CHAPTER 279 An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding in Article 15 of Chapter 1 of Title 33.1 a section numbered 33.1-223.2:7, relating to family restrooms at highway rest stops. [S 837] Approved March 16, 2003

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding in Article 15 of Chapter 1 of Title 33.1 a section numbered 33.1-223.2:7 as follows:

§ 33.1-223.2:7. Family restrooms.

The Department of Transportation shall provide family restrooms at all rest areas along interstate highways in the Commonwealth. All such family restrooms shall be constructed in accordance with federal law. The provisions of this section shall apply only to rest stops constructed on or after July 1, 2003.
