CHAPTER 208 An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered 15.2-954.1, relating to volunteer tuition reimbursement. [H 2395] Approved March 16, 2003

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 15.2-954.1 as follows:

§ 15.2-954.1. Volunteer firefighter or emergency medical services personnel tuition reimbursement.

Notwithstanding any other provision to the contrary, any locality may by ordinance establish and administer a tuition reimbursement program for eligible volunteer firefighters or emergency medical services personnel, or both, for the purposes of recruitment and retention.
