SUMMARY AS PASSED:
Companies providing sewage services. Provides that any governmental entity established pursuant to the laws of another state or other entity that owns, manages or controls any plant or equipment located within the Commonwealth that is used to provide sewage treatment services to a Virginia public service authority shall be subject to regulation as a public utility.

Provides that any governmental entity established pursuant to the laws of another state or other entity that owns, manages or controls any plant or equipment located within the Commonwealth that is used to provide sewage treatment services to a Virginia public service authority shall be subject to regulation as a public utility.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Companies providing sewage services. Provides that a certain corporation chartered on July 1, 1936 that owns or operates a sewage treatment plant within the Commonwealth where sewage collected by a Virginia public service authority or by a Virginia municipal corporation, or both, is treated shall be regulated as a public utility.
