SUMMARY AS PASSED SENATE: (all summaries)
Joint Commission on Special License Plates. Creates a Joint Commission on Special License Plates to review and make recommendations concerning legislative proposals for authorizing the issuance of special license plates. No legislation authorizing the issuance of any special license plate could be offered in the General Assembly unless approved by the Commission. The Commission is required to hold at least one meeting during every odd-numbered year, beginning in 2003 and coordinate the introduction of an omnibus bill containing approved proposals to the General Assembly in every even-numbered year, beginning in 2004.
