SUMMARY AS PASSED:
State Police. Makes certain that the Superintendent of State Police has the authority to promulgate regulations covering a commercial motor vehicle that has a gross vehicle weight or gross combination weight of 10,000 pounds or more. Currently, the Superintendent has the authority on such a vehicle if it has a gross vehicle weight rating or gross combination weight rating of 10,000 pounds or more. The bill also makes a change to reflect the name change of a federal agency.
