SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Database of available inpatient psychiatric beds for children and adolescents. Requests the Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Services, in conjunction with the Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association and private providers, to study the feasibility of developing a web-based system for providing daily updated information on licensed and available acute psychiatric inpatient beds for children and adolescents. This study is a recommendation of the Committee Studying Treatment Options for Offenders with Mental Illness or Substance Abuse Disorders (SJR 440, 2001).
This resolution was continued to the 2003 Session of the General Assembly in the House Committee on Rules.
