SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Retirement benefits; state and local law-enforcement employees and fire fighters. Provides that the supplemental allowance given to most state and local law-enforcement and fire fighting employees from the date of retirement until the age of 65 (or the age of retirement for social security purposes) shall continue for the life of such members. The bill also removes the requirement that biennial adjustments to the amount of such supplemental allowance must be based upon increases in Social Security benefits.
