SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Silvicultural practices; authority of local government. Grants local governments the authority to require a permit or impose a fee for certain silvicultural activities that are (i) conducted in accordance with the silvicultural best management practices developed and enforced by the State Forester, and (ii) located on a property defined as real estate devoted to forest use or in an agricultural and forestal district. Such silvicultural activities include, but are not limited to, the harvesting of timber, the construction of roads and trails for forest management purposes, and the preparation of property for reforestation.
