SUMMARY AS PASSED: (all summaries)

Charter; Town of Purcellville. Provides that closed meetings of the council shall be held in accordance with general law. Other amendments to the charter will grant the Town all powers conferred on municipalities by the Code of Virginia, provide that compensation for council members and employees shall be set by the council, eliminate the residency requirement for the public works superintendent, wastewater treatment plant superintendent and the water plant superintendent, delete provisions requiring council consent prior to hiring and firing employees, and delete outdated references regarding the commissioner of revenue.
