SUMMARY AS PASSED:
Charter; Town of Herndon. Provides that candidates for town council shall not be identified on the ballot by political affiliation. The bill also requires candidates to be nominated by petition. This bill is identical to SB 99.
SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:
Charter; Town of Herndon. Provides that members of the town council shall not be identified on the ballot by political affiliation and changes the election day to the first Tuesday in May of even-numbered years. This bill is identical to SB 99.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Charter; Town of Herndon. Provides that members of the town council shall be elected in non-partisan elections.
