SUMMARY AS PASSED:
Sheriffs; courthouse and courtroom security. Provides that each sheriff shall ensure that the courthouses and courtrooms within his jurisdiction are secure from violence and disruption and shall designate deputies for this purpose.

Sheriffs; courthouse and courtroom security. Gives sheriffs the authority over courthouse and courtroom security rather than the judge, unless the judge states in writing that there is an increased risk in a particular case.
