SUMMARY AS PASSED:
Notary public. Requires that the identity of each person subject of a notarial act be identified by passport, certificate of citizenship or naturalization, alien registration card, driver's license, state-issued identification card, or military identification card unless such person is known by the notary.

SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Notary public. Requires that the identity of each person subject of a notarial act be identified by passport, certificate of citizenship or naturalization, driver's license, state-issued identification card, or military identification card. Also provides that a notary shall maintain a record of specific information relative to each notarial act performed that will be subject to review and audit by the Secretary of the Commonwealth. Failure to comply with these requirements subjects a notary to removal from office.
