SUMMARY AS ENACTED WITH GOVERNOR'S RECOMMENDATION: (all summaries)
Carrying firearms during period of protective order. Clarifies that any person who is subject to a protective order is prohibited from carrying a concealed handgun while the order is in effect, even if he holds a concealed handgun permit. The person shall surrender his permit to the court for the duration of the protective order. A violation is a Class 1 misdemeanor. This bill is substantially similar to SB 46.
