SUMMARY AS PASSED:
Obstructing justice by giving a false statement to a law-enforcement officer. Provides that any person who knowingly and willfully makes any materially false statement or representation to a law-enforcement officer who is in the course of conducting an investigation of a crime by another is guilty of a Class 2 misdemeanor.

Obstructing justice by giving a false statement to a law-enforcement officer. Provides that any person who knowingly and willfully volunteers any materially false, fictitious or fraudulent statement or representation to a law-enforcement officer who is in the course of conducting a criminal investigation is guilty of a Class 2 misdemeanor.
