SUMMARY AS PASSED: (all summaries)
Virginia Guaranteed Assistance Program. Provides eligibility for the Virginia Guaranteed Assistance Program (VGAP) for children of active duty military personnel stationed outside Virginia (but claiming Virginia as their residence) by eliminating the requirement that these students graduate from a Virginia high school. The student must still have maintained the requisite grade point average and meet other VGAP requirements. VGAP awards are based on financial need and evidence of satisfactory academic progress. HB 475 was incorporated in this measure.
