SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Local option sales tax. The bill imposes local option sales and use taxes of one-half percent to be used for school construction, additions, infrastructure, site acquisition for public school buildings and facilities, renovations, including the costs of retrofitting or enlarging public school buildings, and debt service payments on such school projects that have been completed during the past 10 years. The bill also contains some technical corrections.
