Council on Indians. Provides that the Council shall establish criteria for tribal recognition and shall recommend to the General Assembly those tribes that should be recognized by the Commonwealth.

Council on Indians. Provides that the Council shall establish criteria for tribal recognition and shall recommend to the General Assembly those tribes that should be recognized by the Commonwealth. The bill also provides that no Indian tribe in the Commonwealth shall be officially recognized by the General Assembly unless it has met the criteria for tribal recognition established by the Council on Indians.
