SUMMARY AS PASSED:

Motor carriers. Provides that DMV will not hear protests by aggrieved parties in cases where an applicant for licensure as a common carrier has received notice of intent to award a contract under the Virginia Public Procurement Act for irregular route services to or from Norfolk Airport. This bill is the same as SB 435 (Williams).

SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:

SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Motor carriers. Exempts from regulation by the Department of Motor Vehicles motor vehicles providing common carrier service to or from a Virginia public-use airport, provided such service is provided pursuant to a contract with such airport and such contract was awarded pursuant to the Virginia Public Procurement Act (§ 2.2-4300 et seq.).
