SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Rent-to-own contracts. Requires all rent-to-own contracts to be recorded in the land records where the property is located, together with any financing statement. The bill requires the seller to have the premises inspected prior to executing any such contract and to provide the tenant with a copy of the inspection report. The bill defines “rent-to-own contracts.”
