SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Animal cruelty. Provides that it is a Class 6 felony to cause the death of a companion animal by willfully and maliciously torturing or inflicting inhumane injury or pain or cruelly beating, maiming or mutilating such animal. Companion animal is defined in § 3.1-796.66. This bill was incorporated into HB 707.
