HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 338
Celebrating the life of Petty Officer Third Class Jamie Lynn Fallon.

WHEREAS, on September 11, 2001, terrorists launched a violent attack on the United States, causing great destruction and horrible human suffering in New York, Virginia, and Pennsylvania; and

WHEREAS, the attack had a devastating effect in Virginia, home of the Pentagon and of many of the personnel, military and civilian, who served there; and

WHEREAS, among the victims of the Pentagon attack was Jamie Lynn Fallon of Woodbridge, a petty officer third class assigned to the staff of the Chief of Naval Operations at the Pentagon; and

WHEREAS, Jamie Lynn Fallon attended Osbourn Park High School in Prince William County and followed in her father's footsteps by joining the Navy, where she had completed a year-long deployment in Bahrain in the Persian Gulf and had been assigned to USNS Concord until 2000; and

WHEREAS, Jamie Lynn Fallon was devoted to her parents, Mike and Pat Fallon, and to her 7-month-old son, Kahleb; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly note with sadness the loss of Petty Officer Third Class Jamie Lynn Fallon, an innocent victim of the September 11 terrorist attacks on the United States; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Jamie Lynn Fallon as an expression of the heartfelt condolences of the General Assembly of Virginia.
