HOUSE BILL NO. 107 AMENDMENT IN THE NATURE OF A SUBSTITUTE (Proposed by the Senate Committee for Courts of Justice on February 13, 2002) (Patron Prior to Substitute--Delegate Marshall) A BILL to require the posting of the national motto in courtrooms of the Commonwealth.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. In every courtroom in the Commonwealth "In God We Trust, the National Motto, enacted by Congress in 1956", shall be posted.

2. That this act shall become effective when such funds as are necessary to implement its provisions are appropriated by the General Assembly.
