Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. Every chief judge or other chief administrative officer of every court in Virginia, whether not of record or of record, shall prominently post the statement "In God We Trust" in a conspicuous place in each of their courtrooms for all citizens to read.

The Office of the Attorney General shall intervene on behalf of any such chief judge or other chief administrative officer and shall provide legal defense of the provisions of this section.

2. Chief judges or other chief administrative officers of a Virginia court may, at their discretion, accept contributions in cash or in-kind from any person, as defined in § 1-13.19, to defray the costs of implementing this provision.
