CHAPTER 893
An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered 46.2-749.30:1 and by adding in Article 10 of Chapter 6 of Title 46.2 sections numbered 46.2-749.49 through 46.2-749.54, relating to special license plates; supporters of the Girl Scouts; United We Stand; Holstein dairy cows; Education Begins at Home; supporters of the NASA Langley Research Center; supporters of the Relay for Life; "God Bless America"; fees.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 46.2-749.30:1 and by adding in Article 10 of Chapter 6 of Title 46.2 sections numbered 46.2-749.49 through 46.2-749.54 as follows:

§ 46.2-749.30:1. Special license plates; supporters of the councils of the Girl Scouts of the USA serving Virginia Girl Scouts; fees.

A. On receipt of an application and payment of the fee prescribed by this section, the Commissioner shall issue special license plates to the supporters of the councils of the Girl Scouts of the USA serving Virginia Girl Scouts.

B. The annual fee for plates issued pursuant to this section shall be twenty-five dollars in addition to the prescribed fee for state license plates. For each such twenty-five-dollar fee collected in excess of 1,000 registrations pursuant to this section, fifteen dollars shall be paid into the state treasury and credited to a special nonreverting fund known as the Girl Scouts Fund established within the Department of Accounts. These funds shall be paid annually to councils of the Girl Scouts of the USA that serve Girl Scouts in Virginia, including those with offices in neighboring states, to support their programs and activities.

§ 46.2-749.49. Special license plates; United We Stand; fee.

A. On receipt of an application and payment of the fee prescribed by this section, the Commissioner shall issue special license plates whose design incorporates the flag of the United States of America and the legend: United We Stand.

B. The annual fee for plates issued pursuant to this section shall be twenty-five dollars in addition to the prescribed fee for state license plates. For each such twenty-five-dollar fee collected in excess of 1,000 registrations pursuant to this section, fifteen dollars shall be paid into the state treasury and credited to a special nonreverting fund known as the United We Stand Fund established within the Department of Accounts. These funds shall be paid annually to the Rewards for Justice Fund and shall be used solely as reward payments to informants with information about known terrorists or terrorist plans.

§ 46.2-749.50. Special license plates depicting a Holstein dairy cow.

On receipt of an application therefor, the Commissioner shall issue special license plates whose design incorporates an image of a Holstein dairy cow.

§ 46.2-749.51. Special license plates bearing the legend: EDUCATION BEGINS AT HOME.

On receipt of an application therefor, the Commissioner shall issue special license plates bearing the legend: EDUCATION BEGINS AT HOME.

§ 46.2-749.52. Special license plates; supporters of the NASA Langley Research Center.

On receipt of an application therefor, the Commissioner shall issue special license plates to supporters of the NASA Langley Research Center.

§ 46.2-749.53. Special license plates; supporters of the Relay for Life.

On receipt of an application therefor, the Commissioner shall issue special license plates to supporters of the Relay for Life.

§ 46.2-749.54. Special license plates; "God Bless America."

On receipt of an application therefor, the Commissioner shall issue special license plates whose design incorporates the flag of the United States and the legend "God Bless America."
