CHAPTER 164 An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered 22.1-116.1, relating to school board receipt of payment by credit cards. [S 373] Approved March 22, 2002

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 22.1-116.1 as follows:

§ 22.1-116.1. Receipt of payment by credit cards.

School boards may accept payment for services and goods by credit or debit cards. School boards accepting credit or debit card payments may, in addition to any penalties and interest, add to such payment a sum as a service charge for the acceptance of such method of payment.
