SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Claims; Nathaniel Patterson. Provides $100,000 in relief for Nathaniel Patterson. Mr. Patterson was incarcerated on October 18, 1973. As a part of a routine audit conducted by the Virginia Department of Corrections (the Department) in response to Mr. Patterson's habeas corpus petition filed on July 11, 2000, the Department discovered that there was an error in the sentencing information on his conviction record. The error resulted in Mr. Patterson being incarcerated approximately five and one-half years past his release date.
