SUMMARY AS PASSED:
Study; discovery of electronic data. Requests the Office of the Executive Secretary of the Virginia Supreme Court, with assistance from the Joint Commission on Technology and Science, to study and develop a procedural scheme, by statute or by rules of evidence, for discovery of electronic data in civil cases. The Executive Secretary must report his findings and recommendations to the Governor and 2002 Session of the General Assembly.
