SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Possession of open container of alcohol in motor vehicle; penalty. Provides that it is unlawful for any person, knowingly or intentionally to possess any alcoholic beverage in the passenger area of a motor vehicle while on a public highway, in other than the manufacturer's unopened, original container. If the seal on a container of an alcoholic beverage is broken or some of the contents have been removed, the container is presumed to be open. The offense is punishable as a traffic infraction. This bill was incorporated into SB 830.
