SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Health insurance; teachers. Reduces from 15 to five the number of years of creditable service required for a teacher to be eligible for a health insurance credit that reduces the cost of health insurance premiums. The five-year requirement is consistent with the number of years required for teachers to become vested for pension benefits under the Virginia Retirement System.
