SUMMARY AS PASSED: (all summaries)
Expungement of police and court records. Requires the petitioner to obtain a copy of his fingerprints from a law-enforcement agency and to submit a copy of the petition for expungement to the law-enforcement agency. The fingerprints are to be submitted to the Central Criminal Records Exchange (CCRE), which will conduct a fingerprint-based search of the records and submit the petitioner’s criminal history to the court. This bill is similar to HB 1742 (Griffith).
