SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Restoration of civil rights to certain former felons. Modifies the provisions for petitioning the circuit court as part of the process for restoration of civil rights and the right to register to vote. The bill allows a person who was convicted of a drug law violation and was not sentenced to imprisonment to be heard by a circuit court on a petition for restoration of the right to vote. The petitioner will be required to have completed his sentence and been free from any conviction for at least 10 years.
