SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Motorcycle rider safety training courses and training centers. Provides that motorcycle rider safety training courses must be approved by the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), rather than meet the requirements of DMV regulations. The bill also requires DMV approval of facilities and equipment of regional motorcycle rider safety training centers and requires that the curriculum, accreditation, and geographic areas served by these centers must be approved by DMV, rather than meet the requirements of DMV regulations. Training centers additionally must maintain such records and provides such reports as DMV determines.
