SUMMARY AS PASSED: (all summaries)

Siting of landfills. The bill also provides that a new landfill in Mecklenburg County may be sited in a wetland. Currently, a landfill cannot be within five miles upgradient of any water supply intake or reservoir and cannot impact 1.25 acres or more of wetlands. This bill is identical to HB 2667.
