SUMMARY AS ENACTED WITH GOVERNOR'S RECOMMENDATION: (all summaries)
Criminal Injuries Compensation Fund. Provides that a person who suffered sexual abuse as a minor has until 10 years after his 18th birthday to file a claim. The bill also provides that any claim involving the sexual abuse of a minor that has been denied before July 1, 2001, because it was not timely filed may, upon application filed with the Compensation Fund, be reconsidered provided the application for reconsideration is filed within 10 years after the minor's 18th birthday.
