SUMMARY AS PASSED SENATE:

Personnel administration; preference for veterans for employment with the Commonwealth. Provides for a preference for employment with the Commonwealth for veterans awarded the National Defense Medal. This medal is awarded to those who served during the Korean Conflict, the Vietnam War and the Persian Gulf War.

SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Personnel administration; preference for veterans for employment with the Commonwealth. Provides for a preference for veterans who apply for employment with the Commonwealth and request that such preference be applied in a manner consistent with federal and state law.
